Microneedling with PRP (Vampire Facial®)

Natural Skin Rejuvenation Treatment

Healthy skin has the remarkable ability to repair and renew itself.

Over time, however, collagen production slows, skin cell turnover becomes less efficient, and the skin may begin to show signs of aging such as fine lines, uneven texture, acne scars, and dullness.

Many patients want to improve the appearance and health of their skin without surgery, synthetic fillers, or aggressive treatments.

If your skin looks less smooth, less firm, or less vibrant than it once did, you’re not alone. Many people are interested in treatments that support the body’s natural healing processes and deliver refined, natural-looking results without an overdone or artificial appearance.

You may relate if:

Fine lines are beginning to appear

Your skin texture feels uneven

You have acne scars or enlarged pores

Your complexion looks dull or tired

You want natural-looking skin rejuvenation

At Tone & Core in Lakewood Ranch, Florida, Microneedling with PRP, commonly known as the Vampire Facial®, is a natural skin rejuvenation treatment designed to support collagen production and enhance the skin’s natural repair process.

By combining medical microneedling with platelet-rich plasma (PRP), this treatment uses your body’s own growth factors to help improve skin texture, tone, and overall skin quality.

Dr. Vargas has completed advanced training in PRP-based regenerative aesthetic procedures, allowing this treatment to be performed using established protocols designed to support safe and effective skin rejuvenation. All treatments at Tone & Core are performed by appropriately trained and licensed providers under the supervision of a board-certified physician, in full accordance with Florida regulations governing medical aesthetic procedures.

Many patients notice smoother, firmer, healthier-looking skin that may continue to improve over time.

Located in Lakewood Ranch, we welcome patients from Bradenton, Sarasota, Parrish, Palmetto, Fruitville, Siesta Key, and surrounding Gulf Coast communities.

The Process

What to Expect During Your Appointment

Every treatment at Tone & Core begins with a personalized consultation. Your provider will review your medical history, evaluate your skin condition, discuss your aesthetic concerns and goals, and determine whether Microneedling with PRP is appropriate for you. This step ensures the treatment is safe, personalized, and medically appropriate for your skin.

A small sample of blood is drawn from your arm. The blood is processed in a medical centrifuge to isolate platelet-rich plasma (PRP), which contains concentrated growth factors that may support the skin's natural repair processes. Because PRP is derived from your own blood, the treatment works with your body's natural biology.

A medical-grade microneedling device is used to create thousands of tiny, controlled microchannels in the skin. These microchannels stimulate the skin's natural wound-healing response, activating increased collagen production, improved skin elasticity, support of normal skin renewal, and enhanced microcirculation. Most patients describe the sensation as a light vibrating or scratching feeling, and a topical numbing cream is applied beforehand for comfort.

After the microneedling process creates microchannels in the skin, the prepared platelet-rich plasma is applied to the treated area. Because the skin now contains microscopic channels, the PRP can penetrate more effectively into the deeper layers where collagen and elastin are produced. The growth factors within PRP help support collagen production, cellular repair processes, tissue remodeling, and overall skin strength and resilience.

Following treatment, the skin begins a natural renewal process. Over the following weeks, the skin gradually becomes smoother in texture, more even in tone, and more resilient. Many patients benefit from a series of treatments spaced several weeks apart.
